ABOUT
My Passion For Learning
My Passion For Learning: Another important Value that Pei Chun has is Passionate Learning. And I believe that I can never stop learning because there is so much to know about. I am told that with the right attitude, I will be able to improve, grow and even soar.
I suffered a setback at the start of Primary 5 and fared badly in my first exam. With encouragement from my parents, I was determined to do better in the second half. And I was happy that my efforts paid off and I received an award for Best Progress.
I brought this value to my secondary school education. I did not give up. I put in my best effort and ended my 10 years compulsory education with great achievements. Not only did I received the offer to PFP but also Edusave EARGLES Award.
On the day of the award ceremony, I could see the pride in my mother's face and that made me happy too. I did myself proud too.

Leadership
In my Primary School, I was appointed ICT Monitor. This has trained my responsibility.
When I was in my Secondary 2, I was selected to particpate in a Student Leadership Conference and subsequently elected to be a Team leader in Infocom Club.
I am proud to receive EAGLES award from Edusave early 2025.
ABOUT

ABOUT
My Responsible Value
My Value in Responsibility: In Primary 3, one of my teachers saw my interest in technology and I was soon appointed to be the ICT Monitor, and I continue to hold this position up till now. Because of this role, I have learnt the values of responsibility and ownership.
I also have a personal responsibility outside of class. I have a younger brother who is also a student in Pei Chun, and I feel it’s my responsibility to look out for him in school and also at home.
At home, my brother look up to me as a role model. Thus, I consistently ensure I give him positive influence.

ABOUT
Focus
Sharpness
Determination
My Focus, Sharpness and Determination: The funny thing is I first learnt about golf from playing the Microsoft Xbox at the age of 4. When I turned 6, I asked my parents to send me for golf lessons because I was really interested in learning about the sport.
When I started, I realised it was very different from playing it on a computer game, and I had difficulty getting my stokes right. Overtime, I learnt that to improve, I needed to FOCUS on hitting the targets on the driving range. With focus, I was not only able hit the targets it also helped sharpen my mind; and my goal became clearer.
As I started learning golf at an early age, I found it boring to remain in the same position while repeating the same stroke over and over, week after week. As I got older, I realised that through repetition and determination, I was able to improve and have the confidence to overcome my fears and failures.
However, my lessons were disrupted by both my PSLE and COVID. I only retaking it again after I completed my N Level.
Golf became not just a sport, but a learning process and never give up.

ABOUT
Caring
Giving Back To Society: I learnt that is it important to be thankful for what we have, and to give back to the society when we can. And that lesson happened in the middle of 2019 when my mother wanted my brother and I to understand what gratitude means, and 饮水思源happens to be one of Pei Chun’s motto. So, we were brought to join the KEEPING HOPE ALIVE volunteers who offered help to low-income families. It was an eye-opening experience and it made me appreciate what I have even more.

My Creative Expression
ABOUT
My Creative Expression: I had the chance to demonstrate my creativity by participating in the Sony Creative Science Competition where I designed and produced a toy by using the theory that my father taught me. Although I only learnt Science in Primary 3, I received guidance from my father in creating the toy which uses gravity as the idea. By taking part in the science competition, I was able to achieve one of Pei Chun’s Values - Proactive and Creative Leader.
